Meet Patrick
Finance professor, financial advisor, husband, and father of 6, Patrick believes growth happens outside the comfort zone. What began as a post-run sauna session in Cape Town, South Africa became Venture Sauna- an experience built around adventure, community, and creating stories worth telling, because nothing ventured, nothing gained.
How We Started
It began on a morning run in South Africa, when a finance professor saw a small wood‑fired sauna by the ocean and kept thinking about it. Back on campus, student-athlete Stan did poorly on a midterm but smiled and said, “This will be the greatest comeback you have ever seen.” The professor made the sauna a class project; Stan turned it into an independent study, digging into demand, rules, and costs. Spreadsheets turned into plans, plans turned into action, and together they launched Venture Sauna—built on hard work, curiosity, and belief.
